Poor Betting Books

1. Sharp Sports Betting
A great book to master the bookie arena is this one; it discusses a variety of betting methods that can be put to use when betting on a team. The book is based on a problem-solution basis which enables bettors to understand the betting environment better throug examples. Even if the majority of examples are based on NFL, the strategies can be passed onto bets on other sports as well. The book covers it all, from the basic rules to strategies. Even if the book is somewhat older, it still represents a valuable source for bettors. The original book was released in 2001, but minor edits were made in 2009, so many think that it is a more recent advice book. The odds section presented in the book is outdated now though since it revealed the bookies’ secrets and they had to establish a completely new odds table.
2. Conquering Risk: Attacking Vegas and Wall Street
This betting strategy book is the masterpiece of Elihu D. Feustel who had plenty of experience in the field of betting before he wrote the book. This book provides valuable information on the market itself and how to set up a database that will facilitate educated guesses and accurate forecasts. Still, the book has also its shortcomings, so it appears from time to time that it repeats what has been said in the book mentioned above and some others. Nevertheless, Elihu remains a sports booking legend with running two fora, and he also worked for PinnacleSports.com.

3. Weighing the Odds in Sports Betting
This is yet another book that guides you in the right direction if you want to approach betting as a business. Even if it also draws some similarities to the first book mentioned here, it has a better hedging and middling section where explanations are more crystal clear, so maybe it would be good for beginners to go through this book as well.
